Final Capstone Learning Journal

 What a journey it has been. Looking back on my year of the online program, it has been truly amazing. As someone who is on their 3rd college, and went from on campus to online learning, I have experienced it all. I can say this program has been my favorite, and also has taught me the most in my academic career. Being able to go at work at sort of my own pace every week was amazing, while still keeping myself accountable with due dates and assignments. My future involves me working for Charles Schwab in the summer and hopefully getting a return offer. I am so grateful for CSUMB and its online program for giving me the resources and tools to get a job and learn.

Capstone Week 15 Learning Journal

This week I did a rough draft video proposal going over my capstone certifications. Just waiting for approval or if I need to change anything.  Plans for next week are to get the reflections and evidences report finished as well as learning journal and other miscellaneous items to end my studies! No challenges at all this week.

Capstone Week 14 Learning Journal (Week Starting April 8)

This week I finished up a project for the data analytics certificate to show my knowledge and learning. I did it over more basketball data and what statistics separate winning from losing, how certain stats have changed over time, and if stats like assists and turnovers are as important as people say they are.  My plan for next week is to finalize my video presentation and get everything ready to go. No challenges, probably will not do the AWS exam, as I have studied and learned the information for it and uploaded something to the cloud, I think I am okay settling for a 'B' for that certificate since I am unable to complete the exam.

Capstone Week 13 Learning Journal (Week Starting April 1)

This week I have made progress in modules 8 and 9 and should be done by the week to get started on the video. This week we also  created an outline for the video. Plan for next week is to start the video, or maybe another certificate to replace the AWS Cloud practitioner one as I am unable to take the exam.  No challenges in any of the courses, just need to evaluate how much time I have once I complete the current certificate to see if I have Time to swap the AWS one. I have studying/mini project but not the exam certification

Capstone Week 12 Journal Entry (Week Starting March 25)

 This week I completed the module 6 and a lot of the module 7 portion of the google data analytics certificate. Learning more about data collection, transformation, SQL, visualizations and python.  My plan for next week is to finish the 8th and 9th modules and be done with the certificate. Then I can start working on my last project for that certificate and my final capstone.  No challenges in the certification process, still needing to find a time for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Exam. No instructor assistance needed, but I have a few questions I will email Dr. Tao about.

Capstone Week 11 Journal Entry (Starting March 18)

This week I made a ton of progress on the Google Data Analytics Course. I completed 3 of the 9 course modules and learned a lot from spreadsheet data analysis and manipulation, to SQL Queries and manipulations.  My plan for next week is to get more courses done. Around 2-3 hopefully.  No challenges, still have to just find a time and place to do the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Exam.

Week 10 Learning Journal (Starting March 11)

This week I started my last certificate, the Google data analytics. I am excited to get  started and continue it.  My plan for next week is to continue it as well, try to get about a fourth to halfway done to keep me on pace to finish soon.  No challenges besides not scheduling my AWS exam due to current situations. Hopefully I can resolve that somehow.
