Week 6 Journal Entry

Capstone

After we discussed our three capstone ideas each, we both picked our favorite of each to expand on and think more about. We do not know if the Capstone is a group or individual project so we treated it as an individual one for now. My teammate's idea was to create a kind of a virtual reality application where businesses and companies could create their own virtual shops so users can access it anywhere instead of having to go physically. It gives them options if things are out of stock or they want to measure items and compare physically in the comfort of their own home which I think is really helpful for those with disabilities or social anxiety. For my Food and wellness app we discussed even being able to connect it to door dash so if users wanted the food to be delivered they would have that option. We both now have a passionate project we can work on for our capstone project, but if capstone is a group we would need to rethink. 

Week Review

This week we wrote more of our stakeholder argument using AI and our own writing, created a cover letter and resume, and learned about what companies are looking for in new hires. Some things they look for are if you’re dependable, have flexibility, can work in a team, and can communicate to name a few. Most of the 10 characteristics, if not all, I feel like I have since I have been in an education system for so long I have had to learn and adapt. I have also looked at ways to develop my career, such as graduate school and internships. The CSUMB page has a good section of it. And lastly for our group presentation we have already got all the information we want to say written down and ready, we just need to make a creative video for both audiences. We have already started and have days planned to work on it.
